Reskin of the rugby ground scoreboard at Te Awamutu College — with sponsor placement for gfa Chartered Accountants and Stone Real Estate.
The Te Awamutu College rugby grounds needed a scoreboard that did three jobs at once — kept the score, named the school, and gave two community sponsors (gfa Chartered Accountants and Stone Real Estate) the visibility they paid for, without it looking like a billboard.
Carl Sheridan designed the layout. The A Team handled fabrication and on-ground install in time for the season.
Heavy-grade outdoor vinyl over the existing structure, cut clean to the panel edges, sponsor panels weighted to the lower band so the scoreboard reads as a scoreboard first. School red, school name, sponsor pair beneath. Done in a single weekend so practice wasn't disrupted.
Posted on FB the morning of the install — soundtracked by Iron Maiden's "The Trooper", which felt about right.
